Artimus Pyle "Civil Dead" LP (Prank)
- Boy, this is a fukking scorcher! One of the most amazing bands kicking around these days. Dark and heavy and distorted and screaming and faaast! Totally under appreciated band. Feat. members of W.H.N?. Pretty metallic but who cares. This is their debut album. On limited color vinyl.

Affray/Token Tantrum splitLP (D&U)
- Two Swedish bands who I think both have split up by now. Affray needs to be heard to be believed, totally unique sound. Heavy as shit, technical, superb melodies, piano, violins, grand guitar leads, awesome vocals. Crust indeed, but w/brains. TT are super destrcution sludge w/gut wrenching female vocals. Light up that bong!

Arsen "No gods, just monsters" LP (Unsociable)
- The German's are starting a war again. Fortunately, this time it's just in your stereo. Bringing back the good old days of Germaniac metal madness (Acme, Carol, Mörser etc) and crossing it w/Uranus, Drift and Acrid. Fukking annihilation. Come son neat thick vinyl.

Annihilation Time S/t LP (Deadalive)
- Fast, yet mind numbingly destructive hardcore punk. Following in the footsteps of Bl'ast and Black Flag comes Oxnard's Annihilation Time. Mixing the speed and viciousness of the very best hardcore with the decimating heaviness of Black Sabbath, Annihilation Time crank out eight tightly wound and aggressive tracks. True to form, the artwork on this release was penned by none other than the legendary and always controversial Raymond Pettibon who has drawn cover art for everyone from Black Flag and the Minutemen to Sonic Youth and the Foo Fighters.

The Addiction "Punk Alien Razar" LP (MCR)
- Wow, I say wow. If you are into old-school pankfakkingrawk (read: 76-79 stylee), you will crap your pants over this. From Japan, these leather clad boys take no fukking prisoners. Unbelievably catchy and pogo-friendly! Sometimes, they even remind me of the newer Randy-shit (it's a Swedish thing, you wouldn't understand) and that is no diss!

Agent Orange / Jesus & The Gospelfuckers splitLP (Kangaroo)
- Without doubt J&TGF's were Amsterdam's most infamous and obscure band. They started out in 1980 as a Pistols influenced punk band, not long after that they discovered the mighty Discharge. The Discharge influence is definitely there, but with a style all of their own, great raw musicianship and gliding guitarsolos. The band was very infamous, because somehow they always managed to get into fights. Because of all the controversy and violence, they changed their name later into Genocide Express , who have 3 songs on Pushead's classic compilation lp "Cleanse the bacteria". Not long after that, most band members started Agent Orange, who released 2 x 7"s. This complete discography inludes the demo, both AO 7"s, Genocide Express comp songs, and unreleased tracks. 23 songs total. LP comes with huge poster and 12 page booklet with lots of photos and biography. Enjoy some of hollands best punk/hardcore from the early 80's. Price: 120 kr / 15 USD incl. postage.

- More death and destruction from Brazil! Really good'n'hard crusty hardcore from this five piece. Comes in beautiful gatefold cover and shit. Recommended!

Anti Cimex "Country Of Sweden" LP (Distortion)
- Re-issue of this d-beat classic. Needs no introduction! Ten songs of traditional Swedish hardcore/Motörhead-driven hell. A must. CD has their 12" "Painkiller" as a bonus.

Asebia "Face Of Civilization" LP (???)
- Debut vinyl from this new Swedish/Danish collaboration. Yes, this is the New Wave Of Dark And Metallic Neo-Crust! If you are into HHIG, Tragedy, From Ashes Rise etc etc, you are into the same stuff as these fellas. Asebia has replaced the Japanese influence w/a lot more black metal though. It's all good mate! Bang your head to this solid debut!

Black Uniforms "Splatter Punx On Acid (From The Vaults)" LP (Hardcore Holocaust)
- Not the most essential Swedish Dis-band, but still pretty raging. BU were around from the mid-80's to the early 90's and feat. ex + future members of Moderat Likvidation, Anti Cimex, Driller Killer and The Perukers. If you have heard those bands you know what you are up for: Fast and heavy traditional Swedish d-beatt hardcore mixed w/Motörhead and a slight metal touch. This has 2 x demos released in '86 and '87 + comp tapes. Just the cover photo is worth the money alone...

- From Brooklyn NYC, they've been compared to Born Against a lot. With this record they managed to develop their own sound. Devoid of classifications, but full of anger, melody and sheer aggression and with inspiring lyrics.

The Black Hand "War Monger" LP (Scorhed Earth)
- New (and final) album from Canada's masters of metal. Dark, gloomy, apocalyptic and raw all the fukking time baby. Sometimes in a fast forward tempo, sometimes mid tempo but always groovy'n'doomy enough to make you bang your head until it bleeds. Heavy as shit! Sweet cover artwork made by the legendary Away from Voivod, who did all the classic Voivod covers back in the day! Eespect!

Barricade "Where Is The Truth" LP (HG Fact)
- More over-the-top distorted Japanese madness! Classic UK hardcore stylee (Discharge, Conflict etc) mixed w/Japanese noise core (Kuro, Confuse etc) w/hits like "Death To Pigs", "Lay Down Your Arms, Hang The White Flag", "To Fanatics Of The Wicked Religion" and "See Something In Days Being Soaked In Drink". Sound of violence! Cover fold out into gigantic poster.

- Ohmp, the most distorted band ever? I do think so. Legendary Japanese hardcore from the good ol' 80s, this has their "Indignation" demo + more. Fukked up and fast sonic destruction. Almost total noise, but not quite. Btw, the current US band Atrocious Madness took their name from a Confuse track. Jap attack! - Leather clad and controversial defenders of metallized Scandicore destruction for the past 10 years. This is 13 tracks of devastating Swedish hardcore played with unmatched brutality and experience. The Disaster "Black and white and red all over" LP (Assault)
- Lyrically dark and desperate, The Disaster come out of NYC with a blast of powerful and melodic hardcore with raspy forced singing. The music is classic hardcore with melodic sensibilities. Kinda like a combination of Kid Dynamite, In My Eyes and Am. Nightmare.
The hoarse vocals are hard and harsh. They fuel the music with angst-ridden lyrics about depression, death and other dismal outcomes. Great lyrics, fast-paced drumming, blazing guitars, and thumping bass propel this into a fireball of fury. Every song is short, unyielding, and lethal. While banging out straight-ahead adrenalized rhythms, The Disaster is capable of sneaking in gusts of catchy melody. Aggressive and vicious!
